There were areas of the course that were submerged in water and not used by the public at all. There was no encroachment.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">What was finally proposed?</span><br /><br />Well, before anything was finalised we were being made to look like criminals. The plan is to build a club house, little residential bungalows, a large indoor sports facility, a golf driving range, an international polo ground, international class equestrian facilities, parks, tennis courts, a state-of-the-art jogging track and more. The sad thing is that there was speculation about us building a convention centre, seven star hotel etc. What will happen now?<br /><br />We wish to put up the plan to the public, have a dialogue with them and see what they wish for.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Can racing ever be a family event?</span><br /><br />Yes, no doubt. Many children love horses, but races are not enough to hold their attention. There have to be other avenues of entertainment. Racing is a story and we wish to encourage people to own horses.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Is racing still a royal sport?</span><br /><br />No, it cannot be qualified as that. The prize money is too low.We are hoping that we get some royalty next year.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Any special plans for Pune?</span><br /><br />Well, honestly speaking, finance is the number one hurdle. If we can raise the money, our plans for Pune include modernising rooms, renovating club rooms and the restaurant. Of course, it all depends on the authorities. I hope that we can convince people that we are not only taking from them, but also giving.</div> </div>
